Crap like this makes my faith in humanity drop by half...
Joe Scarborough
I cant prove it, but intuitively, you look at the spike [in autism], you look at thimerosal, there is no doubt in my mind
were gonna find out that thimerosal causes, in my opinion, autism.
I emphasize the "I can't prove it" part
Is this man serious? Are others that share his "opinion" as serious?
How many of the 'anti-vacci's out there even know what thimerosal is?
Yes, it is a mercury based compound found in vaccinations,
but this organomercuric compound works it's way out of your body in 2 weeks, whereas inorganic mercury(see: pure) takes up to 4 months to get removed from your system.
4 monthsOn top of that, this evil, evil substance was patented and put into use 80(yes, Eighty) years ago. If it did increase the chance of a child developing autism, the spike would have started long ago, not in the last few years.
Apparently, Jenny McCarthy's child was diagnosed with autism* and instead of going "Well shit, I'ma gonna have to study up to help my child!" she instead opts to go with "Oh noes! I vaccinated mah child! It MUST be why he's the way he is!" and proceeded to start demonizing vaccinations.
Along with all this, she's claiming chelation therapy is helping her son recover from autism. Autism isn't a cold you can get over, it's a neurological disorder that stays for life. There is no cure, just treatment of the symptoms(depending on severity an autistic person can lead a perfectly normal life)
*Some theorize that her son actually has LandauKleffner syndrome, which is not autism. Either way, I've never examind the kid nor am I a doctor, so meh on that one.
In short, celebrities are claiming that vaccinations are evil and do nothing but pad the wallets of "big pharma"
I call bullshit. I got my vaccinations when I was little, everyone I've known has had them and I have yet to meet an autistic person. This is coming from a small town of 2000 to a city of 150,000 and now the Chicagoland area.
I've met people from across the entire age spectrum and some of them were quite excellent examples of vaccinated health(prime example is a 50-ish year old pastor that jogged, yes, jogged, 2 paper routes while hiking all the papers with him, except Sundays)
Ok, not so short, but on the few occasions I do rant, I tend to keep on ranting...
Speaking of rantings, if that little red Amigo tries to cut me off again while I'm in the straighttruck, I WILL shove his ass to the curb, rip his bumper off and give him the finger, especially when I'm hualing 800lbs of gasoline and I have the right of way

I mean, all I know about that guy is the name "Captain Picard", but that's enough to find this variation of the "shake fist" theme amusing, indeed!

~kageryu: I'll try god, but first I need to know...does it taste better on crackers or toast?
*AJGlass: I hear that it's best when you lick it off of a Christian school girl.
Jesus had so much lag it took him 3 days to respawn.
I love that plz so much...
